Al-Hilal Chases Title Momentum Against Al-Hazm at Kingdom Arena
Al-Hilal sits second in the Saudi Roshn League standings with 21 points, trailing league leaders Al-Qadsiah by a single point ahead of Monday’s tenth-round fixture against Al-Hazm. Head coach Simone Inzaghi enters the match at Kingdom Arena with a restructured midfield, welcoming back Sergej Savic while managing the gradual return of team captain Salem Al-Dawsari.
Savic Returns to Bolster Al-Hilal Midfield
Savic slots straight back into the starting eleven after missing the previous round’s fixture against Al-Ittihad. The midfielder anchors the center of the pitch alongside Mohamed Kanno and Ruben Neves.
Salem Al-Dawsari Takes a Place Among Substitutes
Captain Salem Al-Dawsari begins Monday’s match on the substitutes’ bench for the first time since recovering from injury. The winger underwent surgery following his commitments with the Saudi Arabia national team at the 2026 World Cup hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Al-Dawsari attempted to feature in the recent match against Al-Ittihad before suffering a setback 24 hours prior to kick-off, subsequently ruling him out of an AFC Champions League Elite fixture against Qatar’s Al-Sadd. Having returned to group training as shared on the club’s official Snapchat account, Al-Dawsari’s presence provides Inzaghi with an extra card to play in the second half.
Inzaghi Prepares Tactical Solutions for the Roshn League Clash
Speaking at a press conference held at the Almajidiah Sport Hub, Al-Hilal boss Simone Inzaghi addressed the media regarding squad readiness and tactical depth. The Italian coach emphasized the team’s ongoing daily development, stating that preparations began three days prior to kickoff. Inzaghi highlighted the squad’s attacking diversity, pointing to the performances of Sultan Mandash alongside Mohammed Meite and Nawaf Al-Habashi during group training sessions.
