Details of the Offense

On August 26, 2025, Garnacho was driving at 50 mph in a 40 mph zone on Carrington Lane, triggering a speed camera. The incident took place four days before his £40 million transfer to Chelsea was finalized. ESPN reports the vehicle involved was a black Audi RS 3.

Court Proceedings and Penalty

Garnacho pleaded guilty to speeding at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court through his legal representation, JMW Solicitors. He expressed embarrassment and apologized for the oversight. The court sentenced him to a £660 fine, along with £120 in costs and a £264 victim surcharge. He too received three penalty points on his license.

An initial charge of failing to respond to a Greater Manchester Police letter requesting driver identification was withdrawn after the guilty plea to speeding was entered.
