Amazon Discounts 13-Inch and 15-Inch M5 MacBook Air Models During October Prime Day
Amazon has cut prices on Apple’s current laptop lineup during its October Prime Day event, reducing the 13-inch MacBook Air with the M5 chip and 512GB of storage to $1,099 from its standard $1,299 price tag, according to theverge.com. That sale effectively counters recent price adjustments across Apple’s catalog while undercutting the $699 MacBook Neo with a significantly faster processor and larger storage configuration.
Specifications and Pricing for the 13-Inch and 15-Inch Configurations
The 15-inch version of the M5 MacBook Air with 512GB of storage is now available on Amazon for $1,299, down from its usual $1,499 retail price. Beyond the expanded screen real estate, the larger model packs two additional GPU cores for enhanced graphical performance and features a six-speaker audio system instead of the four-speaker setup found on the smaller 13-inch variant. Both machines benefit from speed enhancements applied to their internal processors and onboard solid-state storage compared to previous generations.
Performance and Everyday Usability Features
Apple’s latest midrange laptops maintain their standing as top-tier consumer machines despite lacking radical external redesigns. The hardware continues to deliver extended battery endurance, a high-brightness display panel, and robust built-in speakers that rank among the best in the ultraportable category. Users gain notable speed increases in daily computing tasks without sacrificing the lightweight portability characteristic of the Air product line.
