Amazon Prime Video has announced its Italian streaming lineup for September 2026, featuring psychological thrillers, literary adaptations, live-action spin-offs, and an extensive catalogue drop of classic films and television series.
Major Original Films and Series Debuting in September 2026
The month’s original slate kicks off on September 2 with The Runner, a psychological thriller starring Gal Gadot. According to the release schedule, Gadot plays Maia Marten, a London attorney who receives news of her son’s kidnapping during her morning run and must navigate the city following the captors’ instructions to save him.
On September 9, Prime Video releases Marfil – Gli Opposti, a Prime Original film adapted from Mercedes Ron’s Enfrentados duology. The story follows Marfil Cortés, the daughter of a Spanish tycoon who is kidnapped and subsequently placed under the protection of Sebastian Moore, leading to a romantic dynamic complicated by fresh threats surrounding her abduction.
Television expansions arrive on September 16 with Neagley, an 8-episode live-action spin-off of Reacher. The series centers on Frances Neagley, a former member of the 110th Special Investigations Unit and a former associate of Jack Reacher, who launches her own investigation following the suspicious death of an old friend.
Comedy returns on September 18 with the second season of Roast in Peace. Hosted by Michela Giraud, the six-episode comedy show places five figures—Fedez, Alessandro Borghese, Simona Ventura, Giuseppe Cruciani, and Asia Argento—at the center of an imaginary funeral where they face jokes from four comedians.
Romance takes the spotlight on September 23 with the film adaptation of Ali Hazelwood’s bestseller, The Love Hypothesis – Il teorema dell’amore.
