# Alonso Eagerly Awaits End of 2025 F1 Season
The 2025 Formula 1 season is coming to an end, much to the relief of Fernando Alonso. There are only two races left on the program: Qatar and Abu Dhabi. “For me, these are two farewell Grands Prix, and I see them as such,” explains the Aston Martin driver.
“Qatar with the sprint means that we hardly have any time and can’t allow ourselves a break because there is only one free practice session and then we go straight into qualifying,” reminds Alonso ESPN. “This is followed by Abu Dhabi, which usually has a final character for everyone and brings some peace and quiet.”
“I see these two races as a kind of small party, also because we won’t be driving this car afterward,” smiles the Spaniard and indicates how relieved he is to finally leave the current AMR25 behind him. “For that reason alone, these final performances should be enjoyed.”
In Las Vegas “only in midfield”
Even in Las Vegas, Alonso finished eleventh without any points.”We were pretty much in the middle of the field all weekend,” the 44-year-old summarizes DAZN. “We knew that Las Vegas would be one of our most difficult weekends, and it was not expected that we would suddenly be incredibly fast in the race.”
