An Giang Province Honors Students and Teachers for Excellence in National and International Robotics and Entrepreneurship Competitions
An Giang Department of Education and Training recently awarded over 12 billion VND in total prize money to students, teachers, and administrators for their achievements in national and international academic competitions. The ceremony recognized teams from Huynh Man Dat Specialized High School and An Giang Vocational College No. 1 for their high-ranking performances in robotics and youth entrepreneurship challenges.
Robotics Achievements on the International and National Stage
The robotics team from Huynh Man Dat Specialized High School achieved significant success at the 2026 World Finals of the “Social Contribution through Robotics Challenge,” held in Geneva, Switzerland. The team—comprised of students Le Quang Bao Phuc, Tran Hoang Bach, and Tran Huynh Hai Duong—secured second place in the competition. Following this international result, the An Giang Provincial People’s Committee awarded the students a certificate of merit and a 100 million VND prize. Their mentor, Nguyen Cong Tu, received a matching 100 million VND award for his leadership.
In national competition, a separate team from Huynh Man Dat Specialized High School took first place at the National Youth Robotics Competition. The winning team included students Le Quang Bao Phuc, Do Huy, Tran Huynh Hai Duong, Le Bao Khang, Vo Hoang Gia Hung, and Le Gia Vi, again under the guidance of Nguyen Cong Tu. Another team from the same school, led by teacher Ho Nha Nghi, earned second place in the national event with students Tran Hoang Bach, Nguyen Hoang Tien Si, Ho Thanh Duy, Ly Gia Minh, Nguyen Xuan Hieu, and Nguyen Duc Phat.
Recognition at the National Student Entrepreneurship Competition
The Department of Education and Training also honored participants in the 8th National “Student and Youth Entrepreneurship Ideas” Competition (2026). An Giang Vocational College No. 1 saw three of its student teams secure first, second, and third place, respectively. The prize distribution for these entrepreneurship projects was as follows:
* First Prize: 1000 million VND for students and 1000 million VND for the mentoring teacher team.
* Second Prize: 800 million VND for students and 800 million VND for the mentoring teacher team.
* Third Prize: 500 million VND for students and 500 million VND for the mentoring teacher team. Huynh Man Dat Specialized High School also excelled in this category, with its team earning second place, resulting in 800 million VND for the students, 800 million VND for the teachers, and 8 million VND for the school’s Board of Directors.
Provincial Policy for Educational Excellence
The distribution of these awards is governed by Resolution No. 10/2023/NQ-HĐND, dated July 14, 2023, by the An Giang Provincial People’s Committee. This policy establishes a structured framework for rewarding students, teachers, and school administrators who achieve excellence in recognized academic and technical competitions. The total funding allocated for this recent round of recognition amounted to 12.39 billion VND, reflecting the province’s ongoing commitment to fostering technical and entrepreneurial skills among its youth.
