Andreas Hofmann Elected Latest Mayor of Zapfendorf

Zapfendorf has a new mayor: Andreas Hofmann, representing Zukunft Zapfendorf (ZuZ), won the runoff election against incumbent Michael Senger of the Wählergemeinschaft Sassendorf. Hofmann secured 64.7 percent of the vote, totaling 1,779 votes.

Election Results

The final vote count showed Senger receiving 35.3 percent of the votes, equivalent to 970 voters. Voter turnout for the runoff election was 68.6 percent, with 2,761 of the 4,025 eligible voters participating. Twelve ballots were deemed invalid.

First Round of Voting

Hofmann demonstrated strong support in the initial election round two weeks prior, garnering 44.4 percent (1,362 votes). Senger received 29.1 percent (892 votes), whereas Sabine Köhlerschmidt of the CSU obtained 26.6 percent (816 votes), leading to her elimination from the race. The first round saw a higher voter turnout of 77.4 percent.
