Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Files Legal Action Against Thames Valley Police Over Epstein Documents Arrest King Charles’ younger brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has initiated legal proceedings against Thames Valley Police regarding his detention on suspicion of misconduct in public office stemming from files published by the US Justice Department concerning deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, as detailed in a Sunday publication.
Mountbatten-Windsor, detained in February under allegations that he shared official paperwork with Epstein during his tenure as a trade special representative from 2001 through 2011, has petitioned a court to evaluate the legality of the police response against him. He has filed for a judicial review regarding the authorization warrants that enabled law enforcement to search his property on the Sandringham Estate alongside his past home at Royal Lodge in Windsor.
Police Investigate Claims Mountbatten-Windsor Passed Documents to Epstein
Following his detention, Mountbatten-Windsor was questioned all day by detectives from Thames Valley Police. Law enforcement authorities indicated they were examining claims that he transmitted files to Epstein during his service as trade envoy. The former prince, who is the second son of the late Queen Elizabeth, has denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein and stated that he regrets their friendship.
