The Anne Frank Elementary School in La Pouëze, a district of Erdre-en-Anjou, held a breakfast event on Saturday, March 7, 2026, serving 143 meals. The event aimed to foster a sense of community, bringing together grandparents, parents, and children.

A Community Gathering

According to Richard Rousse, the school’s director, the breakfast was a well-received initiative. “It’s an initiative that always works well, a friendly moment that brings together grandparents, parents and children around the first meal of the day,” he stated. The success of the event was attributed to the involvement of the parents’ association and the participation of eighteen students from CM1 and CM2 classes, who assisted with serving the meal.

Student Involvement

Nine-year-old Arsène expressed his enjoyment of the event, sharing, “It’s funny, this time it was me who served my parents, so funny.” This highlights the positive experience for students involved in contributing to the community breakfast.
