Anne Hathaway Hits Career High With 2.6 Billion, nc.press Reports

Anne Hathaway Reaches Career High With 2.6 Billion Dollars in Global Box Office Revenue

Hollywood actor Anne Hathaway secured a career-high box office milestone in 2026, pulling in 2.6 billion dollars globally across three separate releases, nc.press reported. Her latest psychological thriller, Verity, opened its North American run at number one on the box office charts, outperforming Tom Cruise’s Digger during its opening weekend.

Box Office Mojo figures show that Verity has accumulated 145.29 million dollars worldwide. That gross represents more than 3.6 times its 40 million dollar production budget, standing out as a profitable return for a mid-budget thriller rather than a massive superhero franchise. The film also marks a professional shift for Hathaway, who served as a producer on the project.

Box Office Performance Across Three 2026 Releases

Hathaway’s 2.6 billion dollar total spans three distinct theatrical releases rolled out over the course of the year. Last summer, Odyssey brought in 1.7 billion dollars worldwide. Earlier in the release calendar, The Devil Wears Prada 2 pulled in 690 million dollars globally. The addition of Verity completes the triple-hit year for the actor.

| Film Title | Worldwide Box Office Revenue | Production Budget / Notes |
Odyssey | 1.7 billion dollars | Summer release |
| The Devil Wears Prada 2 | 690 million dollars | Sequel release |
| Verity | 145.29 million dollars | 40 million dollar budget |

Plot Dynamics and Adaptation Details for Verity

Directed as a high-stakes thriller, Verity follows bestselling author Verity, played by Hathaway, who is left unable to walk or speak following a severe accident. Ghostwriter Rowan, portrayed by Dakota Johnson, enters Verity’s isolated estate to finish writing her unfinished manuscript. While sorting through the papers, Rowan uncovers a hidden, unpublished autobiography that reveals disturbing secrets held by the author and her husband, plunging the ghostwriter into a dangerous psychological spiral. Sony Pictures handles distribution for the film.

Verity Debuts in Theaters on October 22

Verity is scheduled to debut in movie theaters on October 22. The release follows the summer box office run of Odyssey and establishes the final pillar of Hathaway’s 2.6 billion dollar box office year.
