Apple Prepares for Major Product Launch Week with Modern MacBook and iPhone Models

Apple stores are bracing for a significant surge in customer traffic as the company prepares to unveil a range of new products this week, with preparation levels rivaling those seen during flagship iPhone launches. The anticipated announcements include updates to the iPhone, iPad, and Mac lineups, alongside new accessories.

Increased Store Preparation and Employee Hours

According to industry analyst Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple store employees have been informed to expect extended working hours. This level of preparation is typically reserved for major product releases, such as new iPhone models. Stores are similarly setting up dedicated tables to showcase individual new products, signaling a strong expectation of high customer interest.

New Products Expected This Week

Apple is expected to announce at least five new products between Monday, March 2nd, and Wednesday, March 4th. These include the iPhone 17e, new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models, updated iPad and iPad Air versions, and a new budget-friendly MacBook. Events will follow in New York, London, and Shanghai on Wednesday, March 4th, to showcase the new offerings.

The Budget MacBook: A Shift in Strategy

The new budget MacBook is garnering particular attention. Apple believes this model, priced around $500-$600, offers “incredible value” and is strategically designed to attract students, as well as users currently using Windows or Chromebook devices. The company also hopes to entice existing iPad users and Apple enthusiasts who haven’t yet purchased a MacBook.

Breaking from Tradition

This budget MacBook represents a departure from Apple’s traditional laptop design. It will be available in a range of playful colors and powered by an A-series chip – typically found in iPhones – while still maintaining a premium metallic finish. This move signals Apple’s intent to diversify its product offerings and appeal to a broader audience.

iPhone 18 and Foldable iPhone on the Horizon

While a flurry of products are arriving this month, Apple has adjusted its iPhone release cycle. This year will only see the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, alongside the highly anticipated foldable iPhone. Gurman also suggests a touchscreen MacBook model may be released before the complete of the year.
