Apple Launches iPhone 18 Pro Max With 249g Weight And 2,190,000 Won Starting Price
Apple’s latest flagship smartphone, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, arrives with a starting price of 2,190,000 won and a weight of 249g, featuring significant upgrades to its night photography and macro capture capabilities, according to a report by dt.co.kr. Kim Young-wook reported for dt.co.kr that the device minimizes ghosting issues while capturing fine details such as dog fur in high fidelity. The handset combines a 48-megapixel fusion main camera with a variable aperture system to control exposure in dim environments.
Advanced Camera Hardware Drives Low-Light Performance
The device uses laser-precision engineered blades within a new rotor mechanism to adjust between four aperture settings: f/1.48, f/1.8, f/2.8, and f/4.0. According to dt.co.kr, this setup addresses the historical ghosting problem—where light sources create round spots and borders during night shots—by pairing upgraded camera hardware with advanced image processing. The camera preserves shadow details instead of artificially brightening entire dark backgrounds, while a dedicated Pro control mode allows manual adjustments for aperture, shutter speed, and white balance.
Thermal Management And A20 Pro Chip Upgrades
Apple equips the flagship with its homegrown A20 Pro chip, a C2 modem, and a next-generation vapor chamber with triple the surface area of previous designs, as detailed by dt.co.kr. This expanded thermal dissipation system helps control heat generation during heavy workloads while extending battery life. On the front exterior, the Dynamic Island shrinks in physical size while gaining the capacity to display up to three live activities simultaneously.
