Apple’s March Product Blitz: iPhone 17e, MacBook, and iPads on the Horizon

Apple is gearing up for a week of significant product announcements, starting Monday, March 2nd, and culminating in a special event on Wednesday, March 4th. CEO Tim Cook has teased “a big week ahead” on X, signaling a flurry of updates across the iPhone, iPad, and Mac lines.

Apple’s Announcement Schedule

The company is expected to unveil up to five novel products over a three-day period. The initial announcement will be made on Monday, March 2nd, followed by further reveals on Tuesday, March 3rd, and a major “Special Experience” event on Wednesday, March 4th at 9 a.m. Eastern Time (6 a.m. Pacific Time). Forbes and Firstpost report that Apple favors consistency and is likely to maintain the 9 a.m. Eastern Time slot for all three days.

Expected Product Lineup

  • iPhone 17e: Apple’s more affordable iPhone model is anticipated to feature the A19 processor, promising performance improvements and enhanced AI capabilities. Firstpost indicates the phone will likely retain a 6.1-inch display with a notch, a single 48MP rear camera, and a 60Hz refresh rate. Potential upgrades include slimmer bezels, MagSafe charging, and an improved 18MP front camera.
  • Low-Cost MacBook: A new, more affordable MacBook is expected to be a key announcement. The Economic Times and Forbes suggest the invitation hints at the colors the device will be available in.
  • New iPads: Updates to the iPad lineup are also expected, including a new entry-level iPad with the A18 processor and an updated iPad Air powered by the M4 chip.
  • MacBook Pro: Refreshed MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips are anticipated.

Future Apple Innovations

Looking further ahead, Apple is reportedly developing a touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro with a hole-punch camera and Dynamic Island, slated for release in 2026. The Economic Times also reports that Apple is working on a foldable iPhone, expected to debut in September 2026, and will be offered in traditional space gray/black and silver/white finishes.

Software Updates

Apple’s software engineers are currently testing iOS 26.3.1, a minor update focused on bug fixes and security enhancements. Developer betas of iOS 26.4 are also being tested, introducing new tweaks and features. Forbes notes that iOS 26.3.1 is expected to be released within the next two weeks.

iPhone 18 Pro Developments

Regarding future iPhone models, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are being considered for a “deep red” color option. The iPhone 18 Pro is already in trial production and is expected to feature a smaller Dynamic Island and a variable aperture for the main camera.
