Aqua Paradiso Tour Re-Examining Ecological Collapse in 2026
The contemporary art exhibition Aqua Paradiso has returned as a touring showcase across Korean Cultural Centres in India and Australia, following its initial run at the National Asian Culture Center in Gwangju. Supported by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange under the Touring K-Arts project, the exhibition features three Korean artists—Hyewon Kwon, Boo Jihyun, and Eunhae Jung—who examine water through ecological and philosophical lenses.
Industrial Waste and Sensory Installation Artworks
Artist Boo Jihyun contributes the installation Where is it going, which repurposes industrial waste into mechanical movements that address water cycles and ecological systems. Hyewon Kwon presents Liquid Vision, a video installation offering a speculative documentary view from an extraterrestrial exploration robot examining Earth’s aquatic ecosystems. Meanwhile, the eco-artist collective eco orot displays Plastic Mandala and Ocean Tears, utilizing marine plastic debris collected from Jeju shores alongside hundreds of glass bottles filled with microplastics to address environmental responsibility.
