Arakhamia: Election Working Group Should Explore Possibilities of Voting Online and Abroad
Chairman of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, believes that the election working group should explore the possibilities of allowing ukrainian citizens to vote online and abroad during elections.
Arakhamia stated this in an interview wiht Radio Svoboda on December 26, 2025. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that all Ukrainians, nonetheless of their location, have the chance to participate in the democratic process.
“We need to consider all possible options for making voting more accessible,” Arakhamia said. “This includes exploring secure online voting platforms and streamlining the process for Ukrainians living abroad.”
He acknowledged the challenges associated with both online voting and absentee ballots, such as security concerns and logistical complexities. Though, he argued that these challenges are not insurmountable and that Ukraine should learn from the experiences of other countries that have successfully implemented these methods.
Arakhamia also noted that the election working group is tasked with developing a new electoral code that addresses these issues and ensures fair and transparent elections. He expressed confidence that the group will be able to produce a comprehensive and effective solution.
