Ariana Grande has officially taken her romance with dancer Ricky Alvarez Instagram-official, sharing a series of loved-up photos following the conclusion of her “Eternal Sunshine” tour in London, according to reporting by Page Six. The Grammy-winning pop star posted a photo dump on Wednesday featuring cozy mirror snaps, hugs, and personal moments with Alvarez, captioning the post with plant and heart emojis.
From Backup Dancer to On-Again Romance
The relationship marks a reunion for the pair, who previously dated from 2015 to 2016 after meeting in 2014 when Alvarez joined Grande as a backup dancer and subsequently toured with her on the 2015 Honeymoon Tour. Romance rumors resurfaced in June when Alvarez was spotted attending multiple stops on Grande’s “Eternal Sunshine” tour, which launched in June. According to TMZ, the couple has been spotted hanging out in recent weeks, including a group gathering in Texas in June and a family celebration in Florida on the Fourth of July.
Sources speaking to Page Six noted that Alvarez has remained close with Grande’s family over the years. Insiders added that Alvarez has been “super supportive” of the singer as she prepares to step back from the spotlight following the conclusion of her tour commitments. “She isn’t rushing back into the relationship,” an insider told Page Six, noting that Grande’s demanding schedule means they are “taking things one step at a time.”
Tour Adjustments and Future Plans
The rekindled romance follows Grande’s split earlier this year from her “Wicked” co-star Ethan Slater, whom she began dating after separating from her former husband Dalton Gomez. Slater had also separated from his wife, Lilly Jay, prior to going public with Grande in July 2023.

Following the wrap-up of her tour commitments, representatives for Grande confirmed that the singer plans to take a much-deserved break to cope with ongoing public scrutiny. Insiders told Page Six that her time off will be spent alongside Alvarez, family, and friends.
