The injury is neither a sprain nor a muscular issue, but rather a “deep cut.” Fans had previously taken to social media and TikTok to share concerns after spotting the singer limping on stage during her 10-night residency in London, prompting the direct update from the artist.

“So when you see me tonight without my signature heels, or even possibly having a little trouble putting weight on that foot, that is why,” Grande wrote on Instagram. She reassured concertgoers by adding, “But please do not fret. On with the show and I am on the mend!”

The London performances mark the conclusion of Grande’s Eternal Sunshine tour, which originally kicked off in June in Oakland, California. Following Tuesday night’s final show at the O2 Arena, the singer plans to step away from the public eye for a planned career break.

Earlier this month, Grande addressed her upcoming hiatus directly from the stage, clarifying that the decision to take a break was made thoughtfully long in advance and was not a reactive response to public scrutiny.
