Arknights: Endfield Version 1.1 ‘Old Deep Water Dies’ Launches March 12 with New Operators and Content

GRYPHLINE has announced the first major content expansion for Arknights: Endfield, titled ‘Old Deep Water Dies, by Rising Tide It is Denied,’ set to release as a free download on March 12, 2026. This update introduces new operators, story content, gameplay enhancements, and community-driven optimizations to the 3D Industrial RPG.

New Operators Join the Fight

Version 1.1 will add several new operators to the game. Two highlighted additions include:

  • Tangtang (6-star Caster): Specializing in AOE Cryo damage and support, Tangtang’s Ultimate, “DA CHIEF SEES YOU!”, immobilizes all enemies within its range, including bosses, creating opportunities for significant damage.
  • Rossi (6-star Guard): Unique in her ability to convert Arts Infliction on enemies into Vulnerability (defense break), Rossi is a key asset for Physical-focused teams.

Hydro-Industrialization and Expanded Systems

The update introduces the hydro-industrialization system, expanding the AIC system with new technologies. Key features include:

  • Hydro Mining Rig: A new facility that mines Cuprium using water flow instead of electricity, requiring no power grid connection.
  • New Logistics: Conduits for long-distance liquid transport and Water Treatment Units for processing sewage.
  • Forges of the Sky Expansion: The placement limit for Forges of the Sky is increased to four units, boosting endgame resource production.

World and Story Expansion: Qingbo Stockade

Players will gain access to the new Wuling area, Qingbo Stockade. The Endministrator can investigate tensions between Wuling City and the stockade, involving the arrival of Nefarith and Ardashir.

Player Rewards and Progression Updates

Beyond the initial launch offering of 135 free pulls, players can benefit from:

  • New Beginner Support: Players reaching specific milestones in Chapter 1 will receive 10 Chartered Headhunting Permits.
  • Sign-in Events: “Gently Flows Qingbo” and “Pearl of the Pack” events offer limited-time permits.
  • Battle Pass Update: The Protocol Pass now provides periodic Basic Headhunting Permits.
  • Limited-time Activities: Exploration Day at Originium Science Park and Survival Training using Industrial Explosives.
  • AIC Quota Expansion: Players receive AIC Quotas for obtaining 4, 5, and 6-star operators for the first time, with retroactive distribution via in-game mail.
  • Advanced Gear Optimization: The Valley Multi-Line Engraving Kit allows for the creation of Essences with three customized stats, improving endgame weapon builds.

Community-Driven Optimizations

Version 1.1 addresses player feedback with improvements to the user experience, particularly for controller users:

  • Construction Precision: Extended buffer range for power lines to 20m (100m total), and improved connection stability. Controller users can now move facilities by long-pressing a button.
  • Exploration HUD: Access to the minimap and game map even as using ziplines for improved navigation.
  • Combat Ready: Operators now enter Protocol Spaces with maximum HP and Ultimate Energy. Red Flash enemy attack telegraphs have been re-tuned for better visibility.

Looking Ahead: Version 1.2

The expansion of Talos-II will continue in Version 1.2, featuring a new narrative arc where the Endministrator teams up with Tianshi Zhuang to defend the Xiranite Dam against Ardashir’s siege. This update will introduce two new maps, an outpost, and a new fluid-based production system for the AIC Factory.

Arknights: Endfield is available as a free-to-play title on PlayStation 5, PC (via the official launcher and Epic Games Store), and mobile devices (Apple App Store and Google Play Store).
