NAPLES – Collier County Sheriff’s Office detectives have arrested a woman in connection to the 2012 death of a man in a Naples gated community.

Jennifer Marie Synclair,36,was arrested Wednesday and charged with second-degree murder in the death of Jozef “Joe” Pilarski,34.

Pilarski was found stabbed to death in his home in the pelican Landing community on Sept. 12, 2012.

Detectives initially identified Synclair as a person of interest, but the investigation stalled due to a lack of evidence.

“This case went cold for a long time, but our detectives never gave up,” said Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk in a press release. “Advances in forensic technology and relentless investigative work have led to this arrest.”
