The local development project Arte Córdova opened registration for its regular dance and percussion training workshops, welcoming children and teenagers between the ages of five and 18, according to information shared with the Agencia Cubana de Noticias. The educational program runs enrollment from August 31 through September 4 at the project headquarters located on Avenue 51, between 122 and 124, in Marianao.

Workshop Structure and Interdisciplinary Curriculum

Regular classes are scheduled to begin during the second week of September. According to the Agencia Cubana de Noticias, the curriculum utilizes percussion as a central framework interwoven with dance styles including flamenco, ballet, contemporary dance, and Cuban folklore. This multidisciplinary design aims to build technical proficiency alongside rhythm, body awareness, and collaboration.

The instruction team consists of younger master teachers who perform with the Compañía Habana Compás Dance, alongside guest artists from Cuba’s artistic community, as reported by the Agencia Cubana de Noticias.

Project Background in Marianao

Arte Córdova maintains nearly five years of continuous operations in the municipality of Marianao. Visual artist, percussionist, and Compañía Habana Compás Dance director Eduardo Córdova Reyes leads the initiative, which integrates Spanish dance, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and contemporary movement.
