Blu Halo celebrates its tenth anniversary in Tallahassee

Blu Halo marked its tenth anniversary in Tallahassee, celebrating a decade as a staple eatery and cocktail bar at Bannerman Crossing. As the area’s first full-service restaurant featuring high-end items, the establishment has spent the last ten years evolving to meet the needs of local foodies and regulars. Operating in the northeast, it provides a venue where Tallahassee can get away from Tallahassee for at least a couple of hours.

Co-owner Keith Paniucki and manager Isabella DeRazza recently reminisced about the milestone, thanking the community for a decade of memories. Over the years, the venue has served as a gathering spot for birthdays, first dates, engagements, and football victories. DeRazza has been with the establishment for five years, joining in a staff that, alongside the ownership group, received direct appreciation. Thank Tallahassee for all the memories that they’ve given us, me and the whole staff and the ownership group, Paniucki said.

A Decade of Evolution at Bannerman Crossing

When it first opened, the cocktail bar and restaurant leaned heavily into upscale dining. Paniucki acknowledged that some early offerings did not fully connect with local diners, but the team listened to customer feedback and adapted over time. The restaurant now features a varied price range allowing guests to come in for an appetizer and a couple of drinks, helping secure regular customers who visit multiple times a week.

Inside, the venue blends modern decor and warm woods with splashes of electric blue, anchored by a circular bar lit with blue LED lights. The bar menu includes more than 80 varieties of wine, cocktails, and beer. Paniucki designed the space so guests would feel like they are in Miami or Atlanta rather than Tallahassee for the two hours they spend there.

Looking Ahead to the Next Ten Years

Reflecting on the past decade, Paniucki expressed pride in how the restaurant helped draw activity to the north side of town as the local dining scene shifted. The team feels positioned to show what the next ten years have in store, though specific details regarding future menu additions or expansions beyond the current milestone were not detailed.
