Nuremberg to Get New,modern Integrated Control Center
Anyone who dials 112 ends up in the integrated control center. Sometimes it’s a matter of life and death. But in Nuremberg the ILS is no longer up to date. But now there is good news for this.
The city of Nuremberg speaks of a “groundbreaking decision”: Nuremberg is getting a new integrated control center (ILS) in the northern part of the city. The Nuremberg Emergency Services and Fire Brigade Alert Association (ZRFN) decided this at its most recent meeting, giving the green light to the multi-million dollar project.
The ZRFN is thus creating the basis for a future-oriented and efficient ILS that will meet the increasing demands in the rescue service, fire brigade and civil protection in the long term, according to the statement.
The ILS Nuremberg, which is operated by the Nuremberg City Fire Department, is responsible for the self-reliant cities of Nuremberg, Fürth.
Nuremberg to Build New Integrated Control Center
Nuremberg is moving forward with plans to construct a new integrated control center. The decision to build was made Tuesday,December 16,2025,during a meeting of the special purpose association for fire and rescue services in Middle Franconia. It appears the current facilities are no longer adequate.
The new center will consolidate control operations for fire departments, rescue services, and medical emergency response. Currently, these functions are spread across multiple locations, which can create inefficiencies. One might suggest that a centralized location will improve coordination and response times.
Details regarding the project’s budget and timeline haven’t been fully released yet, but officials have emphasized the importance of modernizing emergency services infrastructure. it’s expected the new building will incorporate the latest technology to support effective dispatch and resource management. We’ll continue to follow this story and provide updates as thay become available.
