Local AI and On-Device Processing Focus

The educational workshop spotlighted Local AI technology, which allows users to run artificial intelligence models directly on laptop hardware without an internet connection. According to ASUS Indonesia Country Manager Lenny Lin, on-device processing offers distinct advantages over cloud-based alternatives, including data privacy, operational flexibility, and independence from token-based subscription models.

“At laptop ASUS ROG bisa menjalankan AI secara lokal tanpa internet,” Lenny Lin stated, noting that sensitive financial and professional data can be processed securely on the device without transmission to external servers. The approach also ensures functionality during travel or in locations with restricted internet access.

Workshops and Industry Collaboration

For the Malang event, ASUS ROG partnered with Mindplace to deliver structured training sessions focused on modern creative workflows. Content creator La Junta from Mindplace led discussions on building AI-optimized workspaces, automating tasks with AI Agents, and applying local machine learning models to daily professional tasks.

Participants engaged in hands-on testing sessions with ASUS ROG and TUF Gaming hardware. The showcased lineup included the dual-screen OLED ROG Zephyrus Duo, the ROG Flow Z13 Kojima Productions edition, the ROG Zephyrus G16, the ROG Strix SCAR 18, and the more accessible ASUS TUF Gaming F16 and A14 models. Attendees also received official certificates of participation to support their professional portfolios.
