Atvara Wins Eurovision: Latvia’s Representative Revealed

On Saturday, February 14, during the live broadcast of the final, it was found out that Atvara won the “Supernova” song contest of Latvian Public Media (LSM), who will represent Latvia in the second semi-final of the 70th international Eurovision Song Contest in the Austrian city of Vienna on May 14 with the song “Īnā”.

In the finals of the “Supernova” competition, “Kautkaili” ranked behind Atvara, but 3rd – Emilija, 4th – Robert Ox, 5th – Miks Galvanovskis, 6th – TIKASHA SAKAMA, 7th – “ELPO”, 8th – “De Mantra”, 9th – LEGZDINA and 10th – Krisy.

Atvara is a singer who gained recognition on the “TikTok” platform with her debut single “Pie manis tveries”, which received a wide response and was also used in the series “Uninvited Guests”. The singer collaborated with Intara Busuli in the song “Can you climb deeper”. Her latest single “Life throws us” continues to strengthen Atvara’s recognition. In the summer of 2025, the artist performed nine sold-out solo concerts with standing ovations. Atvara has also proven herself on television, where she was a co-host of the first music award “GAMMA”.

The winner of the “Supernova” competition was determined by a jury selected by the LSM, which includes representatives of the Latvian music industry, events and public media, as well as foreign professionals. Due to security reasons, again this year LSM will reveal the names of the jury representatives only after the International Eurovision Song Contest in May.

It has been determined in the lottery that the song of the winner of the “Supernova” contest will be performed in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Along with Latvia, Armenia, Romania, Switzerland, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Albania, Denmark, Cyprus, Norway, Malta, Australia and Ukraine will participate in it this year. The second semi-final will be held on May 14, and the final on May 16.
