Aurenar, a medical technology company based in St. Louis, has secured $5.7 million in an oversubscribed seed financing round to advance its V-Link neuromodulation platform for intensive care patients, according to reports from HLTH.com and Trend Hunter. Financing Details and Investors

As reported by HLTH.com, the seed financing round was jointly led by Solas BioVentures and the Go Red for Women Venture Fund, an initiative of American Heart Association Ventures. Additional capital came from BJC Health and Kaleida Capital. The $5.7 million injection will finance the next development milestones for the St. Louis-based medical technology firm as it moves toward clinical regulatory submissions.

How the V-Link Platform Works

The V-Link system is a non-invasive transauricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) device designed to reduce life-threatening inflammatory responses in intensive care patients. The platform uses a wireless, single-use ear-worn device to deliver targeted electrical stimulation to the auricular branch of the vagus nerve. By activating the body’s cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway without surgical implantation, the technology integrates into existing neuro-intensive care workflows while avoiding the complexities of traditional implantable neuromodulation devices, as reported by HLTH.com.

Clinical research conducted at Washington University in St. Louis demonstrated positive outcomes for the technology.
