Avelo Airlines Expands Network with Fresh Routes from Indianapolis and Cleveland
Avelo Airlines announced the addition of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Cleveland, Ohio, to its network, offering nonstop routes to New Haven, Connecticut, and Charlotte/Concord, North Carolina. The airline will be the sole provider of nonstop flights on these four routes, beginning in June 2026.
New Route Details
The new routes aim to provide affordable and convenient travel options for residents of Central Indiana and Northeast Ohio. Avelo will operate the routes using Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.
Indianapolis Routes
Service from Indianapolis International Airport (IND) to Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN) and Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA) will initiate on June 18, 2026, with twice-weekly flights operating on Thursdays and Sundays. IndyStar reports that neither destination is currently served nonstop from Indianapolis.
Cleveland Routes
Flights from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) to New Haven and Charlotte/Concord will commence on June 19, 2026, with service available on Mondays and Fridays. Avelo Airlines states these routes will also operate twice weekly.
Affordable Fares and Fleet Plans
Avelo is launching promotional fares starting at $39 per one-way ticket to encourage travel on these new routes. WFSB confirms the $39 fare. Looking ahead, Avelo plans to incorporate its first Embraer E195-E2 aircraft into its fleet in 2028, with the goal of improving operational efficiency.
