Bahar Smith Apology: Full Statement on Prosecution Case

The following is Bahar Smith’s complete statement in the video:

“My brothers, as we know from the incident some time ago, I, together with Haji Arif, Haji Edi and Pak Dwi, apologize for what happened to our brother, Pak Rida.

We also apologize to the GP Ansor extended family, especially our family at GP Anshor Tangerang, Banten. This incident is a lesson for all of us to work together to maintain ukhuwah Islamiyah.

Hopefully in the future we will all be increasingly embedded in bonds of brotherhood in Islam, faith and nationality that always uphold the values ​​of ukhuwah Islamiyah.

I pray that Allah SWT always gives us strength, so that Allah SWT gives us all strength in the future so that we can work together to maintain ukhuwah Islamiyah, maintain Islamic values ​​and maintain the unity of our nation’s children, in order to build in the future the Indonesia we love, for the nation and for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

May Allah SWT accept all our acts of worship before we enter the month of Ramadan, and if we enter the month of Ramadan in a noble state, in a holy state and all our sins are forgiven by Allah SWT. Amen YRA.

Previously, the Tangerang City Metro Police named Bahar bin Smith as a suspect in the alleged abuse case against a Banser member with the initials R. The incident occurred during the Prophet’s birthday in Cipondoh in September 2025. The police named Bahar Smith as a suspect along with three other people.
