ITN (There Is Such a People) asserts that it did not facilitate Delyan Peevski‘s access to power, clarifying that DPS-New beginning had no representation in the government or parliamentary committee chairmanships. This statement was made by ITN MP Stanislav Balabanov on BNT’s “Panorama.”

Contrasting Actions: ITN vs. Continuing Change

Balabanov highlighted a perceived inconsistency in the actions of “Continuing Change” (CC), stating that while in power, they enacted constitutional and legal changes with Delyan Peevski. He further pointed to Ivaylo Mirchev’s previous public praise of Peevski’s Euro-Atlantic orientation.

Recovery and Development Plan

ITN MP Balabanov also noted that Asen Vassilev previously halted the Recovery and Development Plan, wich was subsequently unfrozen by the ITN-led government.

DPS Influence within Continuing Change

Balabanov directly accused CC of allowing DPS influence within their own governance structure. He specifically cited Yordan Tsonev from DPS as the chairman of the budget committee during CC’s time in power.
