Recent speculation linking Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka with a move to Barcelona has been firmly dismissed. Reports suggesting Goretzka proactively contacted former coach Hansi Flick to engineer a transfer to the Catalan club are inaccurate.

Sources indicate that Goretzka is not considered a suitable stylistic fit for Barcelona, given the club’s current abundance of attacking midfield options. While Goretzka is expected to depart Bayern Munich at the end of the current season – with the club signaling they will not offer a contract extension – Barcelona is not anticipated to be his next destination.

Several other clubs are reportedly interested in securing Goretzka’s services. Tottenham Hotspur remains a viable option, and multiple Italian Serie A clubs, including Juventus and AC Milan, have expressed interest. These clubs present possibly more suitable environments for the German international to continue his career.

Goretzka’s departure from Bayern Munich marks the end of a triumphant chapter, and he is expected to join a club where he can secure regular playing time and contribute significantly. The player’s representatives are currently evaluating offers from various clubs across Europe.
