Dutch Farmer-Citizen Movement Faces Internal Strife as Henk Vermeer Takes the Helm

The Dutch Farmer-Citizen Movement (BoerBurgerBeweging, or BBB) is navigating a period of internal conflict following the appointment of Henk Vermeer as its new party leader. A Party Born from Protest

Founded on November 1, 2019, by agricultural journalist Caroline van der Plas, alongside Wim Groot Koerkamp and Henk Vermeer from the agricultural marketing firm ReMarkAble, the BBB emerged directly from widespread farmers’ protests [1].
