Three days before being apprehended, Stéphane was accused of raping a 14-year-old girl who he had contacted on Snapchat. According to the lawyer representing the second civil party, the suspect allegedly sent explicit and suggestive messages, including phrases like “you want to make love,” “condom tomorrow or not,” and “I put my juice in your pussy.” The teenager, who suffers from dysphasia, stated she was subsequently raped near a cemetery in Libramont.

Prosecutors have emphasized Stéphane’s extensive criminal record, noting a 94% recidivism rate – a figure described as exceptionally high by both the civil parties and the prosecution. He has prior convictions from the Mons Court of Appeal for moral offenses, including the kidnapping of a minor.
