End of an Era for Beloved Dublin Chipper as Borza Family Shuts Up Shop The Original Borza on Cromwellsfort Road in Walkinstown is closing its doors after serving the Dublin 12 community since 1960. Teresa Borza Forte confirmed the closure in a Facebook post, stating her family will dish out their last bag of chips in under two weeks’ time. She explained that whereas lovely people are taking over the business, she is no longer able to run it on her own and wants to pursue different avenues. The news has prompted an outpouring of support from loyal customers who shared memories of Friday night fish and chips, late-night visits after the Sub, and generations of family tradition. One customer recalled talking about Borza chips years after moving away, while another thanked the family for 58 years of delicious food and community service. Borza’s management has not announced plans for reopening under novel ownership at this time. The closure marks the end of a nearly six-decade legacy for one of Dublin’s most beloved chippers.
