Bengals Fined More Than $547,000 in 2025 NFL Season

The Cincinnati Bengals faced a total of $547,841 in fines during the 2025 NFL season, ranking them as the fourth-most fined team in the league, according to data from Action Network. These fines stem from player infractions, including suspensions and penalties for unsportsmanlike conduct or illegal hits.

Breakdown of Bengals Fines

The Bengals’ fines were assessed across six separate incidents involving players on the roster. A significant portion of the total came from the one-game suspension of wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. Chase was fined $507,156 and suspended for one game following an incident where he spit on Pittsburgh Steelers’ cornerback Jalen Ramsey. This penalty made Chase the third-most fined player in the NFL for the season.

League-Wide Fine Totals

The Bengals were not the only team to face substantial fines. The Washington Commanders led the league with $1,495,670 in penalties, followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers at $749,747 and the San Francisco 49ers with $715,875.

NFL Fine Trends

Interestingly, overall NFL fines decreased by 30% from the 2024 season. Despite this league-wide reduction, the Bengals still managed to secure a spot among the top five most fined teams.
