Willie Mullins is a major player again, especially after skipping the race last year, and we’re looking at two of the moast promising staying chasers trained in Britain: Jango Baie and THE JUKEBOX MAN.
Ben Pauling’s horse may have missed some key races during the spring festivals, but that’s left him as something of an unknown. He looked incredibly strong on his seasonal debut at Haydock, performing exactly as the market expected.
He’s perfectly suited to this test on the current ground at Kempton Park, where he delivered an remarkable jumping display in last year’s Kauto Star Novices’ Chase over the same course and distance.

Now that he’s shaken off any early-season rust, it’s easy to picture the Jukebox Man settling into a comfortable rhythm just behind the pace, likely set by the fast-starting Il est Francais. Iroko’s second-place finish at Haydock and subsequent victory at ascot are positive signs – solid form heading into this boxing Day feature.
The 13/2 odds on The Jukebox Man look like a good bet.
Mydaddypaddy is poised to shine at Aintree, aiming for a hat-trick over hurdles and solidifying his position as favorite for the Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ hurdle with a win in the William Hill Formby Novices’ Hurdle.
He’s clearly showing Grade 1 potential, but at odds-on, there’s little incentive to back him when other promising contenders are in the race.
