Bethel Senior Academy Announces Spring Semester Enrollment
Bethel Senior Academy, affiliated with Bethel Church in Ellicott City, Maryland, is now accepting student registrations for its spring semester, beginning Friday, March 6th, 2026. The 13-week semester will run until June 5th, 2026, offering a diverse curriculum for individuals aged 55 and over.
Course Offerings
A total of 22 classes are available, encompassing a wide range of interests and skill levels. These include devotional worship, smartphone training, keyboard lessons, English nursery rhymes, botanical drawing, wellness gymnastics, singing classes, intermediate art, line dancing, digital photography, worship dance, oriental painting, calligraphy, Korean dance, stretching Zumba, praise guitar, janggu (Korean drum) lessons, ukulele instruction, saxophone classes, ocarina lessons, beginner pickleball, and table tennis.
Special Lectures and Events
In addition to the regular course schedule, the academy will host weekly lectures on various current affairs topics, including the Bible, history, architecture, music, art, and travel. A group viewing of the Christian musical ‘Joshua’ is planned as a spring semester outing.
Faculty
The courses will be led by a team of instructors including Lee In-gap, Jong Kwan “Jake” Lee, Yoon Jae-won, Choi Mina, Park Seong-sim, Joo Sang-hee, Kim Bok-nim, Lim Ji-hye, Jeon Jeon-su, Song Kyeong-hee, So Kyung-sook, Kim Cheol-woo, Kim Seong-jin, Jeong Song-seok, and Hong Seong-han. Approximately 250 seniors participated in courses and activities during the previous semester, demonstrating the academy’s commitment to providing enriching learning and social opportunities for the community.
