Bianchi Infinito: The Endurance Bike Gets an Upgrade for 2026

Bianchi has updated its Infinito endurance road bike for 2026, integrating features seen in the latest generation of endurance bikes. The new Infinito focuses on improved aerodynamics, comfort, and versatility for long-distance riding, positioning itself as an all-rounder capable of handling both pristine asphalt and light gravel.

Integrated Design and Aerodynamic Efficiency

The updated Infinito boasts integrated cable routing, a key trend in modern endurance bike design, aimed at enhancing aerodynamic efficiency. Bianchi positions the Infinito as more accessible than its race-focused Specialissima and Oltre XR4 models, while sitting below the high-end Infinito CV in its endurance range. The changes result in a reported 12-watt improvement compared to the previous generation BikeRadar.

Comfort and Geometry Enhancements

Designed for long hours in the saddle, the 2026 Infinito features a geometry focused on endurance. Bianchi has lengthened the head tube, increasing stack height for a less aggressive riding position and improved comfort. The frame silhouette remains largely similar to the outgoing model, but the head tube is sleeker and less angular. The new bike also incorporates a sculpted seatpost designed to flex for added comfort without sacrificing reactivity.

Countervail Technology and New Wheelsets

The Infinito 2026 utilizes Bianchi’s updated Countervail vibration-cancelling technology, a viscoelastic material integrated into the carbon fiber. This updated version is 20% lighter than the previous generation. Bianchi has also released two new wheelsets alongside the Infinito: the RC 49R carbon wheels, featured on the Infinito Pro, and the B 49R, offering a more affordable option. The RC 49R wheels are 49mm deep with a 25mm internal width, optimized to complement the frame’s performance.

Tyre Clearance and Versatility

The new Infinito is capable of accommodating tyres up to 40mm wide, a significant increase from the 32mm clearance of previous models. This positions the bike between the Scott Addict (38mm clearance) and the Cannondale Synapse (42mm clearance) in terms of tyre versatility. Bianchi highlights the “gravel-ready versatility” afforded by the increased tyre width, though dedicated gravel bikes typically accommodate even wider tyres.

Infinito Range and Pricing

Bianchi offers the 2026 Infinito in several builds:

  • Infinito Pro: Available in five colors with SRAM Force or Rival, or Shimano Ultegra Di2 or 105 Di2 groupsets, starting from €4,950.
  • Infinito: Available in two colors with Shimano 105 Di2 or mechanical groupsets, starting from €2,790.
  • Launch Edition: Limited to 200 numbered bikes, costing €7,790, and available with either Shimano Ultegra Di2 or SRAM Force XPLR 1×13 AXS groupsets. This edition includes a personalized welcome kit and a unique glossy white and purple fade finish.

Bottom Bracket and Geometry

The Infinito continues to use a BB86 press-fit bottom bracket standard. The geometry is similar to the outgoing Infinito CV, with adjustments to the stack and chainstays for enhanced comfort and stability. The new seatpost features zero offset to optimize hip angle, aiming to improve breathing and pedalling efficiency.

Bianchi CEO Alberto Cavaggioni stated, “With the new Infinito, we wanted to honour our high-performance racing DNA whilst fully embracing modern cycling, where a single ride might transition from pristine asphalt to unpredictable light gravel.”
