“The ad hoc chamber of the CAS registered a request from the biathlete Rebecca Passler regarding the provisional suspension of the athlete,” the CAS said in a statement this Saturday.
The appeal was presented on Friday and will be studied at a hearing on Tuesday the 10th, indicated the CAS.
Passler requests “the annulment of the suspension due to the absence of intention and negligence, in order to be able to participate in the Milan-Cortina Olympic Games,” the CAS specified.
The positive result was in an out-of-competition control and letrozole, an antiestrogen used in the treatment of breast cancer, was detected in the sample. It is a product included on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) list of prohibited substances.
