Veliky Novgorod to Host ‘Big Champ 26’ Digital Festival

Veliky Novgorod is gearing up to host its 15th annual digital festival, “Big Champ 26,” on April 18th at the Valdai Institute of Technology and Technology. The event, organized by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Veliky Novgorod, is expected to draw approximately 3,000 attendees from across Russia.

A Diverse Program of Esports and Interactive Entertainment

The festival will feature a full day of activities divided into several thematic areas. Esports tournaments will take center stage, with competitions planned for Counter-Strike 2, EA FC26, and Mortal Kombat 1. For those interested in more active pursuits, “fidget sports” will include hybrid disciplines like fit basketball, Just Dance, and VR-Beat Saber.

Beyond spectating, attendees can participate in interactive zones offering board games, 3D printing demonstrations, robotics exhibits, retro gaming experiences, and virtual reality simulations. Sports enthusiasts can engage in activities like basketball, floorball, and GTO (Ready for Labor and Defense) standard challenges.

Cosplay, IT Excursions, and Free Admission

A cosplay show will allow participants to showcase their creativity by dressing as their favorite characters. IT excursions will be available for those seeking to learn more about technology. Admission to “Big Champ 26” is free, but organizers are requesting advance registration via a link.
