BIOSTAR Launches BITWL-IHT Thin Mini-ITX Industrial Motherboard for Edge Computing

TAIPEI, TAIWAN – March 18, 2026 – BIOSTAR, a manufacturer of edge computing solutions and industrial motherboards, today announced the BITWL-IHT, a Thin Mini-ITX industrial motherboard designed for modern intelligent infrastructure. The BITWL-IHT aims to address the increasing demand for reliable edge platforms in applications such as AIoT, industrial automation, HMI, kiosks, digital signage, and distributed edge computing.

Adaptable Processing Power

The BITWL-IHT supports the Intel® Alder Lake-N, Amston Lake, and Twin Lake series processors, including the Intel® Processor N150, Intel® Atom® x7213E, and Intel® Core™ i3-N305. Paired with DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM memory up to 16GB, the platform is designed for responsive multitasking, efficient data handling, and power efficiency in continuous industrial operations.

Compact Form Factor and Versatile Display Options

Featuring a slim Mini-ITX form factor (170mm x 170mm), the BITWL-IHT is suitable for space-constrained environments like slim kiosks and panel PCs. It offers triple-display capability through Intel® integrated graphics, with dual HDMI®, LVDS, or optional eDP for embedded panel integration. A USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode provides additional display connectivity options.

Industrial-Grade Connectivity

The motherboard includes six COM ports (RS232/422/485 configurable), dual Realtek Gigabit LAN ports, and TPM 2.0 for secure boot and trusted platform deployment. Three M.2 slots provide flexible expansion options: one M.2 Key-B slot supports 4G/5G modules via SIM, one M.2 Key-M slot supports NVMe or SATA storage, and one M.2 Key-E slot supports WiFi and Bluetooth modules.

Comprehensive I/O Support

The rear panel features dual HDMI, USB-C with DP Alt Mode and 20 V / 5 A Power Delivery sink support, USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 ports, dual Gigabit LAN, audio output, and DC power input. Internal headers include LVDS and optional eDP, SATA connectivity, multiple USB headers, digital I/O, I2C interface, configurable COM power, and dedicated fan connectors. The board supports a wide-range DC-in from 9 V to 24 V and USB-C PD for power integration.

Reliability and Operating Systems

Engineered for long-term reliability, the BITWL-IHT operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 60°C and supports Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 21H2, Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 24H2, and Ubuntu 22.04.

By integrating modern Intel processing architecture, extensive industrial I/O, flexible expansion, and multi-display capability within a compact form factor, the BIOSTAR BITWL-IHT provides a foundation for intelligent edge deployments.
