Bitmine Immersion Technologies acquired 32,447 Ether during the week ending in mid-September 2025, pushing its total holdings to 5,847,611 ETH, or approximately 4.8 percent of the circulating supply. According to corporate filings released by the firm, the latest transaction extends a weekly accumulation streak that began when the company launched its treasury strategy on June 30, 2025.
Treasury Growth and Staking Operations
The firm has reached 97 percent of its stated goal to control 5 percent of the total Ethereum supply. Bitmine has staked 5,07 million ETH, which accounts for roughly 87 percent of its total digital asset reserves. According to financial disclosures, the company holds a combined portfolio of crypto, cash, securities, and other assets valued at 14,9 billion US dollars. The New York Stock Exchange-listed shares responded to the broader market movement by rising 8.7 percent at the start of the trading week, extending a six-month gain of nearly 28 percent.
Macroeconomic Triggers and Market Rally
According to CoinMarketCap data, Ether outperformed Bitcoin following an announcement from the US Department of Treasury regarding federal bond purchases. The Treasury revealed plans to double its monthly purchases of longer-term securities from 2 to 4 billion US dollars. Following this announcement, Ether prices climbed more than 32 percent, breaking past the 2,500 US dollar threshold for the first time since January.
Reduction of Unrealized Portfolio Deficits
Continuous purchases during prolonged market downturns previously exposed the company to severe unrealized losses as token valuations dropped. Bitmine has invested more than 19,5 billion US dollars into its digital asset treasury. According to data from DropsTab, the company’s book losses exceeded 8,4 billion US dollars about a week ago, but the recent market rebound compressed that deficit to less than 5 billion US dollars. These fluctuations highlight the financial exposure companies face when managing large-scale digital asset reserves under shifting market conditions.
