Level 60 players in World of Warcraft: Forever face a December 9 launch date for three new high-level raids across Azeroth, Blizzard News reported. The upcoming content drop brings distinct group sizes, dungeon layouts, and prerequisite questlines for participating adventurers.

Raid Lineup and Group Sizes for December 9

The December 9 update introduces three specific raids tailored for maximum-level characters. According to Blizzard News, the Barrow Deeps functions as a 10-player instance located within Mount Hyjal. The zone features entrances connected through Mount Hyjal, Winterspring, and Blackmaw Hold, leading players through eight bosses inside a subterranean prison that once held Illidan Stormrage for 10,000 years.

Hyjal Summit sits at the peak of Mount Hyjal near the World Tree Nordrassil. This 20-player instance features 13 bosses and begins with a battle against an ancient guardian. Raid groups navigate multiple paths across the mountain, exploring ruins both above and below ground.

Onyxia’s Lair is located deep in Dustwallow Marsh and requires a 40-player group. Participants must carry the Drakefire Amulet in their inventory to enter the lair, though it does not need to be equipped.

Drakefire Amulet Attunement Process

Earning the Drakefire Amulet requires a faction-specific attunement questline involving multiple high-level dungeons. Alliance players begin in the Burning Steppes with Helendis Riverhorn, taking on the quest “Dragonkin Menace” before progressing through the attunement questline. Help Windsor escape Blackrock Depths in “Jail Break!” Highlord Bolvar Fordragon will send you on “The Dragon’s Eye” to hunt across Azeroth for someone capable of helping you.

The final step sends players into Upper Blackrock Spire to claim the Blood of the Black Dragon Champion from General Drakkisath.

Horde players begin in Kargath with Warlord Goretooth in the Badlands. The questline sends groups through Lower Blackrock Spire to claim the head of Warchief Rend Blackhand for Thrall. Listen to Thrall’s discoveries during “What the Wind Carries”, then seek Rexxar wandering the roads of Desolace for “The Champion of the Horde.” After speaking with Myranda, she will give you the quest “Oculus Illusions” to obtain Black Dragonspawn Eyes. Players then seek out Rexxar in Desolace and take the Blood of the Black Dragon Champion from General Drakkisath in Upper Blackrock Spire. Emberstrife gives players the Dull Drakefire Amulet before they finish the journey by taking the Blood of the Black Dragon Champion from General Drakkisath in Upper Blackrock Spire to receive the Drakefire Amulet.
