Lausanne, Switzerland, has been selected to host both the Bocuse d’Or Europe and the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie Europe in 2028, marking the first time the two prestigious culinary competitions will be held together in a decade.

Switzerland’s Performance at Bocuse d’Or Europe 2026

At the 2026 Bocuse d’Or Europe competition held in Marseille, Switzerland finished 15th, falling short of qualifying for the final in Lyon in 2027. Despite not qualifying, Switzerland was awarded the honor of hosting the European selections in 2028.

Karina Fruman’s Historic Participation

Karina Fruman made history as the first woman to represent Switzerland at the Bocuse d’Or, achieving a 15th-place finish in Marseille.

Competition Details and Venue

The 2028 event, to be held at the Palais de Beaulieu in Lausanne, will bring together twenty nations for the Bocuse d’Or Europe selections. Simultaneously, the European selections for the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie are expected to feature 10 to 12 nations. The venue boasts 1,800 square meters of space dedicated to gastronomy within its Halles gourmandes.
