Botafogo, already securing their spot in the quarterfinals of the Carioca Championship, will face Fluminense this sunday,February 2nd,at 8:30 PM at the Nilton Santos Stadium. However, head coach Martin Anselmi is expected to field a largely reserve team for the match.

This strategic decision, reported by “GE,” comes as Botafogo manages player fatigue. The team recently played against Cruzeiro on Thursday and is preparing for a challenging away game against Grêmio on Tuesday in the second round of the Brasileirão.

The probable starting lineup for Botafogo includes: Neto (Léo Linck); Mateo Ponte, Newton, and Alexander Barboza (Marçal); Vitinho (Kadu), allan, Marquinhos (Danilo), and Nathan Fernandes (Alex Telles); Artur, Arthur Cabral, and Matheus Martins.

Currently, Chris Ramos and Joaquín Correa are sidelined due to injuries and will not be available for selection.
