## experience film photography… digitally
You don’t need to buy a film camera or rolls to enjoy analogue photography – you can do so digitally now.
Yes, I know that reads like an oxymoron but that’s exactly what the Fujifilm X Half let’s you do – it emulates half-frame film photography by creating 3:4 vertical images on a 1-inch sensor. But to keep the experience as authentic as possible, there’s a dedicated film camera mode that tracks your shots and you can’t go back or review your images on the display.
It’s not a powerhouse camera but it sure is a nifty compact that I’m keen on personally (I waxed lyrical about it on sister site Digital Camera World when it was discounted for black Friday last month). Even better…
This is the TV deal of the day!
There are always good TV deals around, but this one stands out for being a very deep discount on a pretty good telly.
The Sony Bravia 8 II was announced in April, and while I’m no expert when it comes to TVs, my colleague Max Langridge assures me that this is one heck of a deal. The 65-inch screen arrived in Australia with a high RRP of AU$5,499 but has since dropped to AU$5,295.
Head to Sony’s own online store, where there are a couple of stackable coupons you can use – one is BOXINGSAVE at checkout that will shave off AU$80 from the listed price (which is already heavily discounted), and if you sign up for a My Sony account, you’ll be sent a unique code that you can tack on that saves you an additional 10% (capped at AU$200).
Jump through these hoops and the price drops to AU$3,597. Not bad at all.

Is the Amazon Fire TV Cube worth the extra money?
Amazon has quite a few streaming devices and, when discounted, the Fire TV sticks, are very affordable indeed. The Fire TV Cube, however, costs more, even when discounted. So,is it worth the extra cost?
I’d probably say it’s not worth paying full price, but when it’s on sale, like right now for just AU$155,it’s definitely worth considering.
one of the fastest-ever streaming media player, the Amazon Fire TV Cube combines all the benefits of a streaming device with Alexa support while also being a smart speaker to help you control your connected devices. Not only do you get access to every streaming app you can think of, you also get Dolby vision, HDR and Dolby Atmos support, and it’s everything you could want.
Predictably, it inundates you with plenty of Amazon content, but that’s no bad thing if you have an Amazon Prime membership. Its home screen provides rows of suggested content you can watch or rent, and these days Amazon Prime offers some truly great shows and movies.

Frame your music at half price
The Meta Quest VR headsets have always been a relatively affordable entry into virtual reality and now the 128GB version has dropped to a better price than Black Friday 2025.
Actually, it was the same AU$418 from Black Friday at about 9:30am this morning (Monday, December 22), but Amazon has as shaved off another AU$8.01 off that price, so it’s now just AU$409.99. In even better news, if you order now, you might get it delivered to you on Christmas Eve, depending on your location.
We’re just days away from Christmas Eve, and while the festive spirit is in full swing, the reality of forgotten shopping has hit.If you’re looking to capitalise on Boxing Day sales in Australia, there are still some excellent ways to score those last-minute deals before christmas day.
1. Shop on Amazon or Kogan
amazon is the easiest option here but please note that at this time, even metro areas that are typically able to get same-day delivery may not be able to do so, depending on the product you’re after. There are still, however, many items with same- or next-day delivery on Amazon. Kogan, too, is offering expedited delivery at this time.
2. Consider same- or next-day delivery options
