Amazon’s Isle of Man TT Movie to Initiate Filming at 2026 Races

Hollywood is set to descend on the Isle of Man as Amazon MGM Studios prepares to begin filming a new feature film inspired by the iconic Isle of Man TT races. Announced in 2024, the project—tentatively titled Isle of Man—is being produced by Channing Tatum’s Free Association and Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment, with Reid Carolin directing.

Filming will commence during the 2026 Isle of Man TT races, capturing the event’s real atmosphere and challenging Mountain Course. The production aims to showcase the TT’s unique blend of speed, skill, and danger to a global audience while highlighting the island’s landscape and cultural identity.

Channing Tatum is set to star in the film alongside Eve Hewson, known for her role in Bridge of Spies. The project has been described as a “major moment” for the Isle of Man by Sarah Maltby MHK, the island’s political member responsible for tourism, motorsport, and heritage. She emphasized that the film offers a significant opportunity to share the TT story with international viewers and boost the island’s global profile.

Paul Phillips, head of motorsport at the Isle of Man Department for Enterprise, noted that filming at the actual event ensures authenticity, allowing the production to capture the genuine environment, atmosphere, and spirit of the TT. He added that the project’s reach extends beyond motorsport, creating new avenues to connect the Isle of Man with audiences worldwide.

The Isle of Man TT, held annually on public roads closed for racing, is one of motorsport’s most prestigious and perilous events. Known for its high speeds and unforgiving terrain, the TT has cultivated a deep-rooted legacy over more than a century of competition.

By embedding the film’s production within the 2026 races, Amazon MGM Studios seeks to deliver an authentic portrayal of the event while supporting broader goals in tourism, cultural visibility, and long-term economic growth for the island.
