The victory also addressed criticism following the U.S. team’s 2025 Ryder Cup defeat, with Chamblee suggesting the players were motivated to avoid a second successive team-event defeat.

“When you look at the final result, nine and a half to two and a half, and again, go back to 2025, the final day of the Ryder Cup—look at what happened today,” he added. In the 2025 Ryder Cup, Europe won just one singles match, a contrast to the International Team’s two victories on Sunday.

Team USA’s Confidence Boosts Ryder Cup Outlook

U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker, who faced scrutiny for his leadership during the event, expressed confidence in his team’s ability to challenge Europe at next year’s Ryder Cup. “This team is going to be a problem in Ireland,” Snedeker said, referencing the event at Adare Manor. Patrick Cantlay, who holed a critical putt to secure a win, echoed the sentiment: “I think we’re all tired of this narrative that we don’t care about each other. This proves it.”

The victory also highlighted the disparity in world rankings between the U.S. and International teams, with Chamblee noting the result “was what was predicted all week long.”
