Showrunner Jess Brownell has indicated that an announcement regarding the lead characters for Season 5 will be made close to the start of production, expected to begin in March or sometime this spring. Brownell previously stated that the gap between seasons is unlikely to be less than two years.

Brownell stated to Decider: “You’ll learn really soon [who stars in Bridgerton Season 5] I would say,” Brownell said. “We want to grant fans a moment to really celebrate Yerin and Luke and everything they’ve put into this season, but we are starting production very soon on Season 5 and we tend to make an announcement close to the start of production about who the new leads are. So you should expect that this season as well.”
