The match will be particularly significant for veteran prop James Slipper, who is poised to become the most capped player in Super Rugby history, reaching a remarkable 203 appearances.

Slipper’s Journey to a Historic Milestone

James Slipper’s path to becoming the most capped Super Rugby player has been one of consistent excellence and unwavering commitment. Born on June 6, 1989, in Gold Coast, Queensland, he quickly rose through the ranks of Australian rugby. He first represented Australia at the U18 level in 2007 and has since become a mainstay in both the national team and Super Rugby competitions. He currently holds the record for most capped Wallaby as well, reaching 150 appearances in October 2025.

Slipper began his Super Rugby career with the Queensland Reds in 2010, playing 104 matches over eight seasons. He then moved to the ACT Brumbies in 2019, adding another 98 appearances to his tally as of February 22, 2026.
