Comeback Performances and Global Reach

BTS will officially launch their comeback with the release of Arirang at 1 PM on March 20th. A free return performance, ‘BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG’, will be held in Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul, at 8 PM on March 21st, with an expected audience of 22,000. The stage will feature a unique ‘∏’-shaped LED structure, allowing the audience to view both the performers and the surrounding cityscape. This includes media facade displays on Sungnyemun Gate and Namsan Seoul Tower, and a drone show at Ttukseom Hangang Park. There was initial discussion regarding the use of red lighting, rather than the group’s signature purple, but Big Hit Music clarified that red is the key color of the Arirang album and is too being used by the city of Seoul.

Following the Gwanghwamun performance, BTS will embark on an overseas promotional tour, beginning with an appearance at the ‘Spotify x BTS:SWIMSIDE’ event in New York City on March 23rd. They will also appear on NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on March 25th and 26th, marking their first full group appearance on the show since July 2021.
