BTS Announces ‘ARIRANG’ World Tour and Global Cinema Event

BTS is set to return to the stage with their highly anticipated “ARIRANG” world tour, marking their first group tour since the “Permission to Dance on Stage” series in 2021–2022. The tour will as well be broadcast to cinemas worldwide, offering fans a unique opportunity to experience the concerts live.

Tour Details and Cinematic Release

The “ARIRANG” tour will encompass 82 shows across 34 cities, setting a new record for the most dates performed by a K-pop artist [1]. Inaugural concerts will be broadcast live to cinemas from Goyang, South Korea, and Tokyo, Japan. The cinematic event will allow audiences globally to view two complete concerts in real-time.

‘Permission to Dance on Stage’ Legacy

BTS’s previous tour, “Permission to Dance on Stage,” consisted of 12 shows and attracted approximately 4 million attendees [1]. This series was implemented due to COVID-19 restrictions, incorporating both stadium performances with and without live audiences [1].

Global Citizen Live Performance

In September 2021, BTS kicked off the 24-hour global event, Global Citizen Live, with a performance of “Permission to Dance” in Seoul [2].
